Sedum House is the brand new, purpose built head office, training and conference centre for the BTCV, formerly known as British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, the UK’s leading environmental conservation volunteering charity. The building has many sustainable features including a sedum roof, which will insulate and reduce the visual impact of the building, recycled building materials have been used and low energy heating and lighting have been installed. Sedum House is one of only 14 buildings in Yorkshire to be awarded the Excellent rating by the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method. Sedum House offers a sustainable and refreshing new venue in South Yorkshire for training, team building events, conferences, interviews and functions. Adjoining the tranquil surroundings of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's Potteric Carr Nature Reserve, the venue is conveniently located next to Junction 3 of the M18. The flexible accommodation provides a wide range of facilities available from interviews to meetings for up to 50 people. All the rooms have state of the art presentation equipment and are available for booking all year round including evenings and weekends. The rooms are available on room only day and half day rates and day delegate rates. Various discounts are also available. There are also several new hotel facilities nearby.
