The renovation of Cusworth Hall and Park between 2003 and 2007 revealed some fascinating clues not only about the lives of the family and servants who lived in the Hall but also human activity in the area from before Roman times. The exhibition includes the objects, photographs and drawings from the excavations.

Founded in 1909 the Contemporary Art Society was set up to promote the collecting and commissioning of contemporary artists' work both public and private bodies across th United Kingdom. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the CAS Doncaster Museum Service will be displaying some of the pieces that have been donated, including work by Henry Moore,Bernard Meninsky and Maggi Hambling.

Adele Wagstaff: Portrait of Eygpt Exhibition

'Portrait of Egypt' is a collection of works resulting from Adele Wagstaff's resent painting trips to a small community on the edge of Luxor, in Egypt. The exhibition brings together paintings, drawings and etchings inspired by the charactor and beauty of the Egyptian people, and a  series of prints inspired by the sculpture and wall reliefs of Hatshepshut Temple. The portrait paintings in the exhibition depict the wonderful variety of Egyptian charactors who Adele met during her visits, and all are painted from life.

New Year waist wittler on Hatfield Moors

Start the New Year with this brisk walk 3-5 miles. Find out about the reserve and why it is special for wildlife on the route. Upto 3 hrs.
