Matthew Stiles' chemist's shop was a well known landmark in Doncaster at the turn of the last century but apart from selling photographic equipment and chemicals he also took some of the most memorable photographs ever taken of Doncaster people and their enviroment. Many of these photographs will be on view for the first time.

A two band tribute show to Rush, Foreigner and Journey

Armed Forces Day - A day of events throughout the town centre    
Saturday 3rd July 10.30am-3pm
There will be a Parade starting from Hallcross School which will pass the Mansion House (approx 10.40am) and onto the Minster of St George for a service. Following this service a series of events for all the family will take part throughout the town centre ending with a band concert in Elmfield Park starting at 17.00-18.30pm.
 
James and the Giant Peach - Keepmoat Stadium Amphitheatre

These shows will be the first to be held on the amphitheatre, over looking the lake at the stadium. Watch the fantastic outdoor performance of James and the Giant peach on the Amphitheatre at Keepmoat Stadium. The performance is brought to you by professional theatre company Illyria. Dragon Boat Racing Challenge

The St Leger Festival Exhibition Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery

Since 1776 the annual St Leger Festival has been a major event in Doncaster’s sporting and social calendar. This year, to celebrate the festival, we will be displaying some of the many paintings and objects in the collection of Doncaster Museum Service devoted to the races, including a number of images by that famous painter of horses J.F. Herring. Doncaster Art Club 7 August - 19 September Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery our annual exhibition of works by members of Doncaster Art Club includes paintings, prints and drawings in a variety of different media.
