Written by Nick Lane - Hull Truck Theatre Company
When Andy Green's mum dies, Andy does the decent thing - he takes a month off work and moves back home with his dad to teach him how to cook. Fighting memories - and occasionally each other - and risking the sanity of friends and neighbours, not to mention Andy's new girlfriend, the pair boil pans, set grills on fire and worse in an attempt to prevent a diet of beetroot and jam sandwiches. Can their relationship survive? Or is this one kitchen nightmare even Gordon Ramsay couldn't fix?

Lotty's War
Tuesday 30th March, 7.30pm
Doncaster Civic Theatre, Waterdale, Doncaster DN1 3ET. Tel No: 01302 342349
Giddy Ox Productions
Thrust into the dilemmas of the German Occupation , striving to be loyal to her friends and family, Lotty finds herself having to succumb to the requirements of an occupying force, particularly those of the General billeted with her. Based on true events this 'gem of a play' is a 'fascinating examination of how relationships and personalities change in the quest for survival'. With Britain currently occupying two countries, 'Lotty's War' is a relevant look at the dilemmas faced by British people under occupation in Guernsey, in their own very recent history.
