This year the St Leger Festival Week runs from 3th to 12th September, with the race meeting taking place from the 8th to 11th September Doncaster-racecourse. Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery- The St Leger Festival Exhibition
31st July – 30th September
Since 1776 the annual St Leger Festival has been a major event in Doncaster’s sporting and social calendar. This year, to celebrate the festival, we will be displaying some of the many paintings and objects in the collection of Doncaster Museum Service devoted to the races, including a number of images by that famous painter of horses J.F. Herring

The students of Northern Racing College, at Rossington Hall, have crafted striking racehorse sculptures by recycling drinks cans and forming them over salvaged and reshaped wooden forms. An exhibition of their work to celebrate the famous St Leger Race
