The St Leger Horse Park is the UK's newest development in the world of equestrianism. The development at the home of the Northern Racing College sits within 250 acres of parkland in the grounds of the Grade II listed Rossington Hall. The park is open to horse riders, walkers, cyclists, museum visitors anconference delegates.
In July 2008, the St Leger Horse park opened it's visitor centre which accommodates an interactive museum of the horse, showers, a fitness suite, conference rooms, a cafeteria and parking for both cars and horse boxes.
The interactive museum of the horse houses display and exhibition areas, historical information about the park, Rossington Hall and the surrounding area, a gift shop and viewing gallery into the indoor riding school.
Think you could be the next Frankie Dettori? Then have a go at "Take the reins jockey challenge". As you tour the interactive exhibition, try your hand at the individual sections, such as the horse simulator, then add your scores together to see if you've got what it takes to be a champion jockey.
